Coram’s Fields – toddler heaven

By | August 17, 2011

It’s not an understatement to say we love Coram’s Fields! If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a unique seven acre playground and park for children and young people in Central London. We love it and take Edward whenever we can which is why we were delighted to be invited to attend the Pop-Up Imagination Playground which is running from 17th August until 19th August to mark the European launch of David Rockwell’s groundbreaking Imagination Playground concept.

According to the website: “Imagination Playground is a kit of parts suitable for use in a variety of indoor and outdoor sites. It offers a cost-effective means to provide children opportunities to engage in open-ended, free play. With its focus on moveable loose parts, Imagination Playground offers a changing array of elements that allows children to constantly reconfigure their environment. Giant foam blocks and noodles, balls and fabric overflow with creative potential for children to play, dream, build and explore endless possibilities. This playground is unique because everything can be invented and reinvented.”

Edward really enjoyed playing with the pieces and it was fun watching him interact with the other children. I had to sign a consent form as there were lots of photographers there so he’s already had his 5 minutes of fame.
