No rain was forecast for once so we headed into London for a day out. We thought we would go to the London Transport Museum but we couldn’t go past the rainbow park on the Southbank without taking our shoes off and having fun in the coloured sand. Perfect fun if you’re a toddler and even Little Sis was persuaded to try it out.
We left with rather red feet and walked to Covent Garden, had a lovely lunch before spending the afternoon in the Transport Museum.
Tickets are valid for a year so we had fun visiting our favourite bits and getting our card stamped as we went round the museum. The toddler loved climbing in and out of old tube stock and only had a meltdown at the very end. Other children wanted to play with the wooden railway set and he didn’t want to share.
We finished off our day with a trip to Trafalgar Square to see the Olympic clock. Only 12 days to go!
Wow really only 12 days to go?
As you know I am a massive fan of the London Transport Museum.
That sand sounds amazing

Doesn’t she sit up nicely? What a clever little maid……not that her nanny’s biased or anything like that………….xxxxx
