Golden post box
Today we thought we would go and visit the gold post box in Cheshunt – painted gold in honour of Laura Trott who won gold at London2012 in the Women’s Team Pursuit (she has another post box nearby for her gold medal in the Women’s Omnium!).
It was a very hot day but there was a steady stream of people visiting to take a look and have their photo taken with the gold post box.
Royal Mail is painting some of its iconic and much-loved red post boxes gold to celebrate every Team GB and ParalympicsGB gold medal win during the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. To find out more check out the special website Gold Postboxes.
