Let’s Make It ! {Review} Mister Maker app

By | August 15, 2013

Today we went to a craft morning which the toddler and Little Sis absolutely loved! The room was set up like his old nursery; tables with different activities, lots of clear instructions and a big bucket to wash dirty hands when needed! He really enjoyed painting, colouring, glueing, making playdough and generally getting messy.

paintingFor the times when I want his creativity a but more contained there’s a brilliant new Mister Maker app which has just launched.

Mister Maker, Let’s Make It! fuses together the best of creative play and digital interactivity to bring families a fun-filled and high quality app that 3-6+ year olds can enjoy on an iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone and iPod touch whilst on-the-go.

Based on the hit CBeebies TV show, mini makers will love how this exciting new app brings to life all the recognizable features from Mister Maker’s magical art studio. The app features all new footage of Mister Maker, who introduces and guides users through all the activities, Doodle Drawers, Minute Makes, Frame It and much-loved characters, The Shapes and Tocky.

MrMaker appThe toddler is allowed to play with the iPad for a little bit each day and was very excited to see a Mister Maker app. He’s been playing it whenever he gets the chance and it’s proving very useful when I’m trying to get him to sit on the toilet!

You can join Mister Maker and get creative with these imaginative activities:

–       Budding artists can create unlimited pictures with a variety of nearly 400 different art materials from the digital Doodle Drawers including patterns, stickers, things to glue and funny faces.

–       They can then design a frame for their masterpiece by experimenting further with items from the Doodle Draws and personalise their creation by typing a special message.

–       Families can show off their art skills by taking part in the popular Minute Make challenges by choosing and completing items from two different themes: Nature and Underwater World.

–       Children can have fun with Mister Maker’s friends ‘The Shapes’ in a brand new multi-level interactive shape finding game.

–       With four user profiles available, each child can view their saved artwork in their very own personal interactive double page Picture Album.

–       Throughout gameplay, kids can unlock a variety of materials for the Doodle Drawers as special reward content.

–       Users can also choose to email their favourite creations to be featured on the Mister Maker Gallery on the P2 website to be in with a chance of winning monthly prizes.

Mr Maker appI would recommend the app for any Mister Maker fans or those who want a creative app. My toddler has been busy creating all kinds of pictures which has made him very happy. It’s a well thought out app and definitely worth the money.

Mister Maker, Let’s Make It app is available for £2.99 from the App Store on iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore.

My little one has so much fun with this app, too! It’s great how much there is to do and add to the pictures, and that he can be creative on the go. We love the Minute Makes challenges. Have you seen there’s a competition where you can submit your make to be in with the chance of winning an iTunes voucher? A lot of work is going into the perfect make in our house! There’s more information here.

Also, love the title of your blog – my feet hurt thinking about it!
