A little artist

By | October 28, 2013

All attempts to tire out the children seemingly failed today. The promised storm did not leave a trail of destruction in this part of Wiltshire so we headed off to Frome for a little shopping and refreshments in The Settle Tea Rooms where the toddler had his favourite chocolate milkshake. He spent most of the day jumping in “puddies” as they are known in our family, thanks to Little Sis. Unfortunately his most recent pair of wellies have already worn out so he’s banned from jumping in puddles, although this hasn’t stopped him yet.

After lunch we visited Warminster but all this walking around failed to tire him out. Clearly his afternoon sessions at nursery are more tiring for him than I appreciated. After dinner he did some drawing which he has only recently seemed to be obvious what they are. A couple of weeks ago he drew me and tonight he drew mummy, daddy, himself and his sister and nanny. Then he drew Mike from Monsters Inc., grandad, Auntie Caca and his cousin Willow.

drawingI can’t tell you how much I love his drawings and how great it is to see him excited about it!

Should I be worried that Aaron only scribbles and can’t draw yet? Or has Edward just learned recently.
Eeeek I didn’t know it was time. I better show him ….
Put this mummy on the naughty step 🙁
