A day at the Lido

By | March 16, 2014

We’ve been blessed with two lovely days out this weekend and amazing weather to match. The 3 year old adores our local lido and requested we go there today. There’s plenty of space to scoot, there’s a beach, a playground, a cafe and a miniature railway.

We got there nice and early as you may remember we tried to visit last weekend and it was too busy to get close. We walked and scooted around the lake and then the children played and played.

It was beautifully warm but that didn’t stop us heading to the cafe for a drink. Little Sis began to feel poorly.

But her brother was happy to sit and people watch. He even drew a picture of me on one of the chalk boards.

Then it was time to board the train for a special early birthday treat for the 3 year old. Everyone enjoyed the view from our carriage but we’ve promised ourselves that we’ll walk the route one day.

Little Sis didn’t cheer up but her brother really enjoyed the ride. I’m sure it won’t be too long before we’re back again.

I do hope your little one feels better very soon, what a shame as she seemed to be having a wonderful time in the Spring sunshine. Thanks for linking up and sharing your fun with Country Kids.
