Today we had a lovely day out with Grandad. Our first stop was the Model Village at Babbacombe where we took part in a special Easter Egg Hunt around the site. We found all the hidden eggs and were rewarded with sweets!
Then it was on to Babbacombe Cliff Railway for an amazing ride to Oddicombe Beach which has been badly affected by the recent stormy weather.
Little Sis didn’t enjoy the ride up and down very much but her older brother did. She did love the view once we were at the beach though.
The beach is very pebble-y so daddy tried to teach him how to skim stones. He ended up just throwing them in and paddling – too cold for a dip at this time of year!
He was also pretty pleased to see Lightning McQueen back at the top by the cafe, who was busy raising money for charity.
We finished off our trip to Babbacombe with a delicious lunch at the Carey Arms which is well worth a visit, especially for the beautiful terraces overlooking the beach.
