A day at the Zoo

By | June 29, 2014

Despite being really busy yesterday we couldn’t laze around at home. Oh no. We were up and away early this morning, this time off to spend the day at London Zoo.

First stop was the penguins. We were lucky to be the first ones there and it was lovely to watch the penguins swimming around. We even managed to catch one of the keepers feeding them their breakfast which was an added bonus.

Little Sis was eager to see the lions so we carried on, stopping to see which ever animal enclosures we came across on the way. These were the monkeys, oh no, they’re actually mine!

DSC_2908They were very excited to be at the zoo and after the lions, Little Sis wanted to see the gorillas. I’m not sure why she was so focussed on these animals but she loved seeing them. There were some new bits at the Zoo including a fun play area. Fortunately Daddy had his camera and was buys snapping away at the animals, so didn’t even miss us whilst they were climbing and running around.

Then it was time to explore another part of the zoo. We all enjoyed the Aquarium and took part in some of the organised activities and looked for Nemo. We took a picnic and were able to sit outside and enjoy it.

After lunch we carried on to see the Giraffes and Zebras. We were all feeling a little tired after a day in the sunshine so were quite happy to head back to the car and home.
