Today we headed off to The Odeon in Leicester Square for the preview of Planes 2 Fire & Rescue. Any one who knows my children will know what huge Disney fans they are. They both loved Planes so we had high expectations for Planes 2. We managed to keep our plans a secret until we were outside the cinema – the huge posters and fire engine gave the game away!
There were lots of activities laid on to keep the children occupied before the gala screening. We had our photos taken with Dusty too!
The film was fabulous and both my children loved it! In fact Big Brother has already told me he wants to go and see it again and wants Father Christmas to bring him the DVD for Christmas!
When world-famous air racer Dusty learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his team, a bunch of all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire, and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.
After our exciting morning at the cinema we treated ourselves to lunch at Planet Hollywood. Big Brother had the biggest sundae I’ve ever seen and did a pretty good job of demolishing it. After all that eating we walked to Hamleys via Regent Street (which was closed to traffic for the day!). We sat at the Lego bus stop and had a good look at every single toy in Hamleys – but managed to walk away without spending anything.
Wow that’s very quick getting this review up. We enjoyed it too. Was sad I didn’t bump into you again, after our brief encounter. I know how much our 2 boys love Lightning McQueen and all things Cars and Planes, so it was a great thing for them.
