During the Christmas holidays we visited our local Hobbycraft where the children fell in love with two very cute Paint Your Own Money Box Gruffalo kits. As they had some Christmas money from Nanny they both bought one – Little Sis chose the Gruffalo and Big Brother picked the mouse.
They cost £5 each which I thought was great value. Both kits contained a ceramic money box, paint brush and 6 paints.
They were desperate to paint them so after school we covered the table in newspaper and they got to work.
They both really enjoyed themselves and worked hard to paint them according to their real colours.
We think they look great and just hope it encourages the children to save some of their pocket money!
Lovely – are the painting aprons new too? They look really good. xxxx
