We were really excited to hear about the latest Forestry Commission trail featuring Julia Donaldson’s wonderful Superworm!
Superworm is super-long. Superworm is super-strong. Watch him wiggle! See him squirm! Hip, hip, hooray for SUPERWORM!
We picked up our Superworm activity pack from the cafe which included a mini Superworm book, trail leaflet and string to make your own Superworm hero!
Then we set off to explore the trail with some friends.
The trail was similar to the Gruffalo Trail and Gruffalo’s Child Trail but without the large characters hanging in the trees. The children loved running to find the boards and following the activities on them.
After our walk we shared a lovely picnic and went den building in the woods. The children made this impressive den with a little help from the grown ups.
The Superworm trail is free but the activity pack costs £3.50. More information about the Superworm trail at Wendover Woods can be found on the Forestry Commission website.
Woodland trails are great for adventurous youngsters. The den looks cosy……..xxxx
