Egg box play dough cones

By | June 6, 2015

We’ve been having fun making our own play dough for a while now and have built up quite a collection. Today we got all the different colours out. Basic play dough is really easy to make and lasts for ages if stored in an air tight bag. We like to add colour and smell to ours.

Today we felt we had exhausted the normal play ideas of craft sticks and googly eyes so found something different – egg boxes!

I cut the four cardboard cone parts from a normal egg box and turned them upside down to make ice cream cones. Then the children added their play dough balls. The egg box cones are the perfect size for small hands.

You can add button ‘sprinkles’ and craft stick ‘flakes’ and anything else you can find.

This is a fabulous idea! I’ll have to save our cones for the next playdough make! Thank you! 🙂 x

Snap! We have used egg boxes to make ice cream cones as well this week but added shaving cream instead of Playdough. Great minds and all that! Love the colours of your playdough looks like lots of fun. #MiniCreations
