HiPP Organic recently carried out a nationwide survey to gain the views of the modern day mum. I could relate to some of their findings:
- 25% of pregnant women claimed to have had no cravings during pregnancy
- the 2nd trimester is the favourite stage of pregnancy for 63% of HiPP Mums
- 67% of HiPP mums felt that weaning their baby was fun, exciting or delightful
I’ve tried and failed to make food that Edward will eat. I was really excited at the thought of weaning but underestimated how difficult it would be to get Edward to eat the food I peeled, steamed and mashed. So I’m very grateful that other people have managed to do something I couldn’t – make delicious food that Edward is happy to eat.
Hipp Organic offered to send us some of their new Wholesome Pots, suitable from 7 months. They have been created with nutritious and tasty organic ingredients that are gently steam cooked for optimal goodness and are GM free.
We tried Fruity Vegetable Tajine with Couscous, Scrumptious Cottage Pie with Herbs, Sweet Red Pepper and Aubergine Penne, Yummy Bean and Beef Casoulet. All the pots comes in packs of two in reuseable pots. They look and smell delicious and Edward enjoyed all four flavours but his favourite was definitely the Cottage Pie. Edward has half a pot for lunch and the rest for his dinner and we find the portions are very generous.
More information can be found on the Hipp Organic website or take a look at their Facebook page.
We are going to be weaning in a few days and I am terrified about it. The 2 books I ordered on Amazon to educate me have not arrived yet.
Thanks for a great post
Ignore the books and follow your instincts! Weaning should be fun for you both 🙂
