Children’s playground, Wood Green Common

By | August 19, 2011

A lovely sunny day so we thought we ‘d try out the new children’s park on Wood Green Common. It has recently been completely refurbished and has plenty to occupy children (apparently up to the age of 12). Edward enjoyed the swings,  the toddler play unit and the wide slide. He wasn’t too sure about the team swing although I thought it looked fab and really wanted to have a go myself!

The playground is lovely and now includes play boulders, reclaimed timber posts which have been fitted with climbing holds. There are also plenty of picnic tables and even a bin!  Amazing that Haringey have actually spent money on something we can enjoy, although I wonder if it will be in such good condition when the kids go back to the nearby school in a couple of weeks?!
