Come Home to a Cuppa

By | July 20, 2012

We’ve already had our summer holiday but we’re going away this weekend to visit family so I thought I would write a little about my pre-holiday checklist. It’s an entry for the Come Home to a Cuppa Linky Challenge, sponsored by Cravendale.

First of all we have to have someone come in to feed the fish and cats.

Second on the list is the packing. With two children I start to make a list a couple of days before we leave, as I know I can’t rely on my brain these days! On the list is: our clothes; their clothes; nappies + wipes; food + snacks, cutlery + plates; toys, comforters, dummies, books; a baby monitor; a pram; the steriliser. For this trip we also have our ferry tickets and tickets to a Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine event at Havenstreet.

The third thing I always do after packing the car but before locking the door is to make sure the house is tidy i.e. empty the bin, ensure toys and clothes are put away, put some milk and bread in the freezer – as you can’t beat coming home to a lovely clean house!

I agree – you actually look forward to going home when you know it’s clean and tidy……xxxxx

Yay, I won a years’ supply of Cravendale! I might share it with you if you’re lucky.
