Nanoblock is micro-sized building block, think very very small Lego! I picked up a Giraffe pack when we visited the V&A for £8.50. It contained three packs of different sized pieces, a small base plate and pictorial instructions.
I’ve been looking at it for months and tonight was the night! I sat hunched over the puzzle board whilst I poured the small pieces out and put it together following the instructions.
The instructions were quite complicated as they were only pictorial, perhaps if you understood Japanese you might find some hints! It ended up with an adam’s apple which my husband managed to fix.
You can’t see the scale but it’s about 5cm high. Like Lego you get some spare pieces.
According to the packet nanoblock is an extremely small building block. The smallest part is a mere 4x4x5mm! This amazingly small micro sized block makes it possible to create more detailed and even smaller projects than what can be made with standard sized blocks. nanoblock is a stimulating and entertaining hobby material for everybody, especially for grown-ups.
Not for the faint-hearted!

I have built about 8 or 9 of these kits. They were challenging, but fun. I also think that they turned out really well. I have written about them on my blog (jackofallhobby.blogspot.ca) If you have a moment check it out because you can see some of the kits just as they were unboxed and built. I have been lucky enough to have some kits sent by wonderful friends from Japan. Those were extra cool.
