Elevenses

I’m not sure why I haven’t thought of it before but today we headed to our local garden centre in Ally Pally. It’s not just a garden centre as it also has a handy coffee shop and a nice line in birthday cards and gifts. You may remember we found a rather lovely gingerbread house there at Christmas (which has now been cleverly adapted to feature spring decorations, with the slices of toast intact).

Anyway, we needed seeds for a little crafty project we’re planning so hopped on the bus and went to the garden centre. We had a good look around, the toddler running around and around outside. He enjoyed the outdoor furniture (confusingly kept inside) and picked out several tables and chairs he wanted.

Then it was time for a sit down in the cafe and elevenses. The toddler was hungry so wanted his lunch and I had a difficult time convincing him that he couldn’t choose something from the menu.

I eventually managed to keep him happy with a muffin and we bought our seeds too.
