Today we went to Walthamstow to Lloyd Park which has recently been refurbished. It was slightly wet from all the rain we’ve had recently but was amazing. We got there early and almost had the place to ourselves. The toddler enjoyed the huge slide, balancing on the tree stumps and the sand pit. Little Sis loved the small slide and the swing which was bug enough for everyone!
After we had been on every piece of equipment in the park, had a scoot around the most and played with the model car we headed off to the William Morris Gallery next door. This has also recently been refurbished and had tons of interactive elements for the toddler to enjoy.
There’s also a fantastic cafe which overlooks the park, needless to say we enjoyed lunch after all that exploring 🙂

Really really need to go there.
We go to Walthamstow A LOT and yet I have never heard of it. Even my in-laws live 10 mins drive from there and my best mate lives there….
Anyway it WAS predicted to be 20 degrees today and tomorrow so no wonder you planned a day out.
Our peak today was 11 degrees (on bbc.co.uk) but it certainly didn’t feel like it in reality. I even had to use the buggy rain cover today….
Tomorrow is predicted 17 degrees which they are saying WILL happen but considering I have the heating on right now I will believe it when I see it.

That sounds wonderful, some outdoor fresh air and a little indoor interactive learning, a perfect combination with lunch too! I love Dad’s style of pushing the swings, why did I never think of that one? Thank you for joining me on Country Kids.
That swing is marvellous! I like the trampolines built into the ground, great fun.
