A Gothick fantasy

Today’s educational trip wasn’t nearly so historic as the one yesterday. Today we used our National Trust membership cards once again and headed off to Lacock Abbey. The weather was pretty perfect and the children both enjoyed walking running exploring the beautiful buildings and gardens.

We haven’t had much luck on previous visits to National Trust properties and I was beginning to think the toddler had an aversion to anything older than himself. Fortunately he seemed to enjoy Lacock, especially the sound of his own voice echoing along the hallowed corridors of the historic cloisters.

After a good couple of hours we headed off for afternoon tea and the local children’s playground.
