More sunshine today so we knew we had to get out and about. We walked our favourite route to Manor Farm, stopping off to look at the River Pinn, examine pine cones and nuts and listen out for birds.
We also had to stop and read all of the signs telling the history of the various parts of Manor Farm. The toddler loves to point out the numbers so I can tell him what each one is.
Then the children started running, trying to catch their shadows which completely intrigue them!
Our next stop was the old Horse Pond which is home to lots of birds. We regularly visit them and fill them up with bird seed. The children enjoyed feeding them, and fighting over the bag of bird seed of course.
Then it was time for a sit down and a snack. We’ve been enjoying Barny, a delicious new bear-shaped sponge snack with a hidden centre providing a little discovery in every bite. They are the perfect size for a snack mid-adventure.
This post is an entry for BritMums ‘Little Adventures Challenge’ in partnership with Barny, the bear-shaped snack providing a little discovery in every bite. Find out more about Barny here.
