Homework time

By | February 26, 2014

Nursery seemed to give a lot of homework for a 3 year old. Over half term there was his About Me book to write in, a book to read at home, and a picture of a turnip to colour. The theme for Spring term is Growing so we’ll be doing lots of talking (and hopefully some growing of our own) to accompany what he’s learning at nursery.

He was sent home with the outline of a turnip (I think to accompany the book The Enormous Turnip) which he was asked to colour in. We chose glitter pens which were really messy and literally took a week to dry. We got a bit worried it was never going to dry out so covered it with contact paper to seal it all in!

Then he had a go at cutting it out and writing his name on the back. I can’t wait to see it up on the nursery wall (if it survives!).
