Train spotting

By | June 14, 2014

We were really lucky to be given tickets to see Moomin Madness at the Polka Theatre in South Wimbledon. The performance was for ages 4 and over so I took the opportunity to have a morning out with Big Brother whilst Little Sis stayed at home with daddy.

We had a pretty big adventure just getting to the Polka Theatre, it involved a lot of trains. As you may know, we’re on a mission to take a photo at every station on the London Underground. Today’s journey involved a lot of stations we had already visited but some new ones too. Our first photo was at Charing Cross where we changed from the Bakerloo to the Northern Line.

We swapped again at Kennington as our Northern Line train was terminating there.

We had a couple of minutes until the next train so took a couple of silly photos.

As we were early we decided to go all the way to the end of the line – Morden! Then we hopped back on again.

We got off at South Wimbledon and walked to the Polka Theatre.

We enjoyed the performance and had lunch at their little cafe before heading home.

We walked back to South Wimbledon and took the Northern Line to Stockwell (photo opportunity) where we changed to the Victoria Line to Green Park.

I’m sure we’ve already taken a photo here but never mind. We took the Jubilee Line to Finchley Road then the Met Line home. An epic journey but Moomin Madness was brilliant and we can never turn down an opportunity to travel by tube!
