Storytime magazine

By | September 5, 2014

We were given the chance to get our hands on a new magazine called Storytime, a new national magazine for parents to share with their children which launches on September 10th.

My children love magazines and we often treat them to one when we do the weekly shop. They are obviously attracted to the free plastic toy and bright cover although we make sure we always read the stories and do as many of the activities as we can.

IMG_6606Storytime is a completely different type of magazine. There are no pieces of plastic stuck to the front cover, and no adverts. Instead there are classic stories, puzzles and colouring, as well as expert storytelling tips. The first issue contains includes classics such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Hare and the Tortoise, Aladdin and The Fairy Bride, all beautifully illustrated to engage parents and children.

The stories are a great length and just right for my 4 year old to listen to, my 2 year old get a little twitchy after too long. We loved the activities and the storytelling tips are great for extending play. This is definitely a magazine to keep for a long time.

Storytime is priced at £3.99 and will be available at all major shops and supermarkets including WH Smiths and Waitrose. More information can be found on their website.

This sounds like the sort of thing I would have loved when I was younger, The price of magazines now is ridiculous though!
