Back to our routine

Daddy went back to work today so we kept ourselves busy by a trip to the library.

There were stories and songs and some crafting time.

IMG_9052The children were happy to make some new pictures to bring home and they also chose some of their favourite Winnie the Witch books to borrow.

When we got home we finally had time to watch two new DVDs we were sent before Christmas: Care Bears: The Great Giving Holiday and Mumfie’s White Christmas, both released by Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The films were quite short which meant my children were really happy to sit down and watch them.

Care Bears: The Great Giving Holiday
Come along to Care-a-Lot and join Great Giving Bear, Harmony Bear, and all their cuddly friends in a merry special adventure filled with holiday hiccups, festival follies, and plenty of Care Bear cheer. Great Giving Day is just around the corner…and so is trouble. The unbearable Beastly tries to spoil the holiday by creating a sticky situation, while a troublemaker determined to steal the show just might ruin the Great Giving Day Pageant. Only teamwork, caring, and friends like you can help the Care Bears save this special time of year.

Mumfie’s White Christmas
From the award-winning creator of the Thomas & Friends television series, Britt Allcroft, comes this classic Christmas adventure with a special little elephant, Mumfie! Join Mumfie, Scarecrow, and Pinkey on their unforgettable quest across sea and snow to ask Santa for a wintery white Christmas. Though their journey takes some unexpected turns, with the help of familiar friends like Whale, Napoleon the Raven, and the mysterious Black Cat, as well as new ones like a high-flying reindeer and a magic little snowbird, Mumfie discovers the value of kindness and the true meaning of Christmas. Filled with endless charm and memorable music, this timeless tale captures imaginations and hearts alike.

My 3 year old loves the Care Bears and I think this was their favourite film out of the two. We had never heard of Mumfie before but the children really enjoyed his adventures and these made great watching for the festive season and beyond.
