My 5 year has been asking to make something for Father’s Day so today we tried something we have wanted to do for a while. We decorated candles for a Father’s Day gift.
Equipment needed to decorate a Father’s Day candle:
Plain white candle
Candle paint (from Tiger Stores)
Paint brush
How to decorate a Father’s Day candle:
Originally my son wanted to paint a picture of his Daddy on the candle but the candle paints were quite tricky for him to use. Instead we took the top off each one and he painted the candle.
My son loves to paint so he had a lot of messy fun. He wanted to make the gift really special so was careful not to mix up the paint, using a different brush for each colour. The candle paint was easy to apply with a brush.
Once he had finished we left it to dry and we’re really pleased with the results. We just need to wrap it up and hide it somewhere safe until Father’s Day.
I never heard of candle paint!! This is brilliant! What a special gift 🙂
