Thomas and Friends: Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure

By | July 18, 2015

I’m sure all Thomas and Friends fans will be exited about the release of the latest film in the franchise – Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure. We were very lucky to receive tickets to see the film this morning and absolutely loved it.

Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure

This year Thomas and Friends celebrate their 70th year with a must-see film about the triumph of friendship. Featuring the voices of Eddie Redmayne, Olivia Colman and Sir John Hurt this is a great film to keep little ones entertained over the Summer holidays. The feature length movie, Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure, sees the little blue engine and his friends embark on a spectacular new adventure scouring the Island of Sodor for lost treasure.

In its biggest cinema release to date, celebrating the 70th anniversary of Thomas & Friends, the 60-minute film is the perfect event for toddlers this summer, offering an exciting first cinema experience. The story line is both enchanting and fun and we were pleased to see our favourite engines, the Small Railway, as well as Marion, who we first met in Tale of the Brave. The film also features a new engine called Ryan and Skiff, a little boat who hates to get his face wet!

The 3 and 5 year old both adore Thomas and Friends and enjoy feature length films such as this. They both said how much they enjoyed the film and the soundtrack features some fun songs which we’ve been singing all day long.

The film will air across cinemas in the UK, including Showcase, Vue, Odeon, Cineworld and a selection of independents, from the 17th July until 1st August. For full listings visit thomasandfriendstickets.com

Oh I love Thomas. Both my boys were great fans too but my grandson prefers Peppa Pig..
I think I’ll have to ply him with lots of tv episodes in a hope he starts to like Thomas then I’ll have an excuse to go to the cinema!!
