Little Sis wanted to do some painting today. With the Queen celebrating her 90th birthday in a few days I knew the perfect craft for her. Today we made The Queen’s Gold State Coach from a paper plate! Did you know the coach has been used at the coronation of every British monarch since George IV?
First Little Sis painted a paper plate with sparkly gold paint.
This was probably her favourite part as she loves to paint!
When our gold paper plate was dry we cut out two circles from black paper.
We attached these to the bottom of our gold paper plate state coach with double-sided tape.
Then we drew on the doors and windows of the carriage. We added some sparkly gold stars and paper flags. All ready for the Queen’s 90th birthday next week!
I also like encouraging my kids’ creativity.. That’s why I make sure we always have art playtime..
