The latest Center Parcs challenge is to record one of the fun things your family got up to this summer.
Steph Tilley, Center Parcs Community Manager has shared some great tips for preserving special holiday memories. My favourite tip is:
“Create a scrapbook by sticking in different momentoes of your summer – train tickets, photos and handwritten diary entries always work well, or why not try something a little more unusual. Ask your little ones to decorate your scrapbook with hand prints and finger painting, cut out words from old newspapers and magazines or even have a go at creating a digital scrapbook, complete with video clips.”
This blog is pretty much our record of what we get up to everyday. Our goal was always to record our family adventures. This summer we also started a Summer Holiday book. It’s a lovely notebook from Paperchase and my husband bought me a Canon Selphy printer so every day we can print out a favourite photograph of that day’s activity and stick it in the book. We’ve also encouraged Big Brother to write a word or draw a picture related to that activity. Part of this little project was to keep encouraging him with his letters and words over his Summer holidays and it seems to be doing the trick nicely.
It’s really hard to pick just one of the fun things we’ve done as a family. We frequently look through our Summer Holiday book and it reminds us of so many fun things we’ve done. We’ve ticked off new stations from our London Underground Challenge, we’ve also crossed off some of the activities from the National Trust’s 50 Things. You can probably tell we love a challenge!
I asked Big Brother what his favourite day was and he said going to the cinema to see Planes 2 at the cinema. In our book we have stuck the photos that were taken at the screening, as well as our special tickets and some spare stickers from his Planes 2 sticker album.

This is my entry to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 August challenge. If I’m chosen, I would like to visit Longleat Village in Wiltshire.

Creating a holiday book is such a lovely idea.
Looking forward to reading more of your blog,

What a lovely idea. It’s great to have something physical to look back on! I’m really guilty of leaving everything online.
I wish I had of joined in with this competition. Looks fun
