Whilst Little Sis was at nursery we headed to the Lido for some fresh air. Big Brother scooted all the way around it, stopping for an ice cream half way round.
We all did a little exercise at the grown up playground too.
Then we headed back to Ruislip to pick up Little Sis. I was pretty excited to find this vintage Lego set in one of the charity shops.
Lego System 5978 The Secret of the Sphinx is an Adventurers Egypt set released in 1998. It contains 342 pieces, and 7 minifigures: Pippin Reed, Dr. Kilroy, Pharaoh Hotep, Skeleton, Slyboots, Johnny Thunder and Baron Von Barron.
I bought it because it’s a bit different and reminded me of Indiana Jones! Big Brother obviously claimed it as his own but I’m hoping we can build it together soon.
Today I knew the free Lego set was the 30247 Star Wars ARC-170 Starfighter! Daddy likes Star Wars so we wanted to get two sets if possible and headed off to Uxbridge. First stop was a long sleeved top for Big Brother (needed for nursery tomorrow) and after that we went to collect the Lego.
We enjoyed our little shop and as Little Sis was at nursery we were able to get the tube there and back and not worry about heaving the buggy up and down the station steps. We were back in plenty of time to make the Starfighter before nursery.
Whilst we were out we picked up another vintage Lego set, called Lego System 1785 from the 1990s it was almost complete and made two fun Crater Critters. Our Lego collection is expanding!
