Today Little Sis turned 5. She received lots of presents, mainly Paw Patrol which is her current favourite thing.
She also received a Lego set from Grandad – the Lego Juniors Supermarket Suitcase (10684). She was so excited to see this as it comes in a special carry case, perfect for taking away on trips.
Set up the Easy to Build Supermarket with vegetables and cute red scooter to help your minifigures get to the store. Put the different foods in the shopping basket and stroke the friendly cat while you choose your flavor at the ice cream bar. With easy instructions and quick start elements to get the play started sooner, LEGO Juniors models are designed specially for an easy start with the LEGO brick. Includes 2 minifigures:a shop assistant and a customer, plus a cat.
She was able to build this on her own, which was great. I’m sad to say that the Lego Duplo has all been packed away as it never gets played with. Bring on the Lego Juniors!
Today Big Brother went to a bowling party. He’s only ever been bowling once before but he really enjoyed himself.
I think he thought he was going to do really well but the birthday boy goes every week so he didn’t really stand a chance! He did have a good time though and we’ve promised to all go again soon so he can practice!
Little Sis wanted to do some painting today. With the Queen celebrating her 90th birthday in a few days I knew the perfect craft for her. Today we made The Queen’s Gold State Coach from a paper plate! Did you know the coach has been used at the coronation of every British monarch since George IV?
First Little Sis painted a paper plate with sparkly gold paint.
This was probably her favourite part as she loves to paint!
When our gold paper plate was dry we cut out two circles from black paper.
We attached these to the bottom of our gold paper plate state coach with double-sided tape.
Then we drew on the doors and windows of the carriage. We added some sparkly gold stars and paper flags. All ready for the Queen’s 90th birthday next week!
