A trip on a steamie

Today was forecast the best weather of the week so we drove to Buckfastleigh for a ride on the South Devon Railway.

We took the first train of the day all the way to Totnes and back again. It’s a lovely journey along the River Dart and the weather was perfect for it.

After our trip on the train we headed back to Grandad’s to try our new inflatable in the pool.

Spending time in the fresh air

This morning we decided to take the Teignmouth Ferry over to Shaldon for a walk on the beach.

The children love the crossing even though it only takes a few minutes.

After a quick walk around Shaldon and the ferry back to Teignmouth, we headed to Dawlish. The children both remembered playing on the rides last year and wanted to go back. We bought them some tokens so they could go on this ride…

and have 10 minutes on the trampolines.

We had taken our frisbee with us so the children could carry on running around.

Then we stopped for another ice cream.

We went back to Teignmouth so the children could play on the beach. Their favourite game was playing on the beach and pretending to be mermaids!

Then they dug channels in the sand and poured sea water into them.

Another lovely sunset.

A busy day on holiday

We started our day with a round of adventure golf. It’s had a bit of a makeover since our last visit so Big Brother was really keen to try it out.

Little Sis decided to keep score.

After our game we stopped for ice cream.

Before deciding to head over to Grandad’s for a swim.

Mummy had bought some emergency swim wear so no-one needed to go swimming in their pants this time!

Then we headed back to our cottage and this lovely view.

After dinner we decided to go for a walk along the back beach. We picked up some shells and lots of litter, I love how the children wanted to keep the beach clean for everyone!IMG_0744
