Today we thought we would choose something from our Autumnal nature table to craft with. We’ve picked up hundreds of acorn caps from our local park and thought we could use them to make some little acorn people.
Materials you will need:
wooden peg dolls
acorn caps
acrylic paints and brush
sugru
How to make acorn gnomes:
We bought four peg dolls from our local craft shop. Then we chose some autumnal colours and painted the bodies of them. Add faces and then leave to dry.
I used a small piece of Sugru to attach the acorn cap hats to the peg dolls and left them over night to set.
We all like our little acorn people. We still have lots of leaves left to craft with, any suggestions over what to make next?
How about using small leaves to make chocolate decs for the children’s cakes?
😉
These are so clever. We live next to a forest so can easily collect some acorn to have a go ourselves #pintorials

Awh, these are lovely. What a cute idea. My kids used to watch a cartoon years ago Oaky Doky or something like that, I don’t even know if it’s still on, but he was a little acorn man. (It was a long time ago so I’m probably remembering wrong, I’ll stop rambling now!)
