Little Sis has a lovely collection of Elmer the Elephant books. The stories are lovely and really reinforce the message that it’s good to be different. Elmer the Patchwork Elephant is a brilliant character to craft with so today we made a special Elmer collage. I printed out a template of Elmer, got a glue stick and raided our craft supplies for squares of coloured card.
My 4 year old loves crafting so was happy sitting and glueing the squares on. This is a fun way to craft and talk about colours. Collage is a really fun activity which we need to do more often.
She gave Elmer a lovely patchwork coat which she was pretty proud of!
